“ We stayed near by and were walking around looking for somewhere just to get a quick bite and go back to the room. It turned out to be the best bite we got all trip! The staff was amazing and so nice! Gianluca, Sara, and Chris treated us well all weekend. They conversed with us and made us feel like family from the first night. That is why we went back every night even if it was just for a quick drink. The food was amazing as well, but come on the food is amazing in all of Italy, the people though is what makes a good plate 100 times better. These are good people. Can't wait to come back! ”

“ My favourite restaurant in Florence. We are here on our first night returning to Florence and everything about the place is 10/10. The food is so amazingly good. Authentic Tuscan cuisine and wine with lots of options to choose from. I had burrata and tomato to start, which was so rich and creamy in texture and very well seasoned. Then I had the wild boar tagliatelle, and it was fantastic. Both desserts of Nonna's Tart and Tirimasu were also delicious. The star of the show, however, wasn't the food but the service. The best we've ever had in any restaurant, which is why we booked Osteria Cancello dei Macci for our last night in Florence also. Absolutely magnificent. ”
“ Had the most wonderful lunch at this lovely restaurant. The service was top-notch (grazie mille Chris and Gianluca!) from the time we stepped in till the moment we left. We were brought to our table in this beautifully decorated restaurant where we started with a chicken liver on bread. The liver was seasoned just right and was delicious. We also ordered the t-bone steak that Chris recommended to be cooked either rare or medium-rare. We went with medium-rare considering how thick the cut was and it turned out to be one of the best steaks we've ever had. The meat was melt in mouth tender and packed with flavour. The sear was perfect and it gave a nice charred smokiness to every bite. The wine list was comprehensive and we had two glasses of red wine to go with the steak. The only reason why we didn't manage to enjoy more of it was because the steak was huge! We thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience and highly recommend it! Thank you to the whole team at Osteria Cancello dei Macci for making meal at Florence the best one! Grazie di tutto! ”

Make your way here for some extremely tasty food that is well presented in a very nice restaurant. Lori was fantastic! So much character and seriously excellent wine recommendations.
